WEDDINGS AS WE HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN THEM ARE BACK! And I am so glad for Rachel and Ryan! Like so many couples, they began this process many moons ago...and then Covid hit...followed by uncertainty, doubt, and frustrations. Those are certainly not the feelings that should be associated with a wedding celebration. Thanks to Rachel and Ryan's fortitude and patience, they were rewarded with the wedding they envisioned when they started the process!
The day began with Rachel and Ryan getting ready at a Wilmington, DE staple, The Hotel DuPont. Hotel DuPont is endlessly classic and never ever disappoints and their wedding was no exception. After wedding preparations were completed, we travelled to St. Mary of the Assumption in Hockessin, DE for a beautiful ceremony. But before Rachel could walk down the aisle, she had to take a quick pit stop with her girls (see photo below). Much like Rachel and Ryan, the ceremony was sincere and full of heart. We stopped at Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar on our way back to Hotel DuPont for some formal photos with the bridal party.
And then...it was party time. It was a truly incredible feeling to be at a wedding again and seeing smiling faces...everywhere. And let me tell you, EVERYONE was excited to party!
It is very clear to me that Rachel and Ryan are so loved by so many...and it's very easy to see why. They are warm, inviting, compassionate, and incredibly kind. It seems to me that they return the love the receive ten fold...my kind of humans!
